This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 6:20
You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the first fruits of all your crops;
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious thing; let this be known to all the world.
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
